Identifying the Real Problem
Truth must resolve guilt, not just manage it
Truth must resolve guilt, not just manage it
If salvation does not resolve guilt with certainty, the problem remains.
Before comparing solutions, we must clearly identify the problem salvation must solve—one that does not depend on balance, hope, or effort.
What the Qur’an says about earlier Scripture
A common objection is that the Bible has been corrupted.
Yet the Qur’an repeatedly affirms the Torah and the Gospel as revelations from God:
“And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus…and We gave him the Gospel.”
— Qur’an 5:46
“So let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein.”
— Qur’an 5:47
If the Bible were corrupted before Muhammad’s time, these affirmations become difficult to explain.
If it was corrupted after, there is no historical evidence for such a change.
This creates a tension that deserves careful consideration, not dismissal.
