Disarming Deception is a teaching and equipping ministry devoted to exposing the strategies of spiritual deception and empowering believers to stand unshaken in God’s truth. Drawing from the research and insights from his books, papers, and research, founder Jonathan*K.*Corrado combines biblical theology, apologetics, and lessons learned from military strategy to illuminate how the enemy manipulates perception and erodes truth.

Jonathan*K.*Corrado is a Bible scholar whose background in the U.S. military and defense industry gives him a distinctive lens on spiritual deception. Drawing on decades of experience with military psychological operations, intelligence, and leadership, he connects Satan’s deceptive strategies with real-world PSYOPs and equips Christians with biblical, practical ways to recognize truth, resist lies, and stand firm in spiritual battle (Eph. 6:12).

John served over two decades in the U.S. Navy, active and reserve, attaining the rank of Captain (O-6). His career included shipboard operations, nuclear propulsion, amphibious warfare, military intelligence, and joint operations, with multiple deployments at sea and in combat theaters. He later worked in the defense industry and at a Department of Defense laboratory on sensitive programs involving cyber warfare, covert communications, and clandestine systems—deepening his firsthand understanding of deception and influence.

Academically, John holds degrees in mechanical, systems, and nuclear engineering, along with several theological degrees. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and an adjunct professor at Liberty University, where he integrates faith, scholarship, and real-world application to invest in the next generation of leaders.

John is the author of books and numerous peer-reviewed articles spanning theology, apologetics, human performance, and engineering. He also contributes regularly to Creation Magazine and the Institute for Creation Research. His passion is apologetics—helping believers love God with both heart and mind and live confidently in the truth of Scripture.

Though his life reflects extensive training and experience, John’s deepest calling is pointing people to Christ. He views every chapter—military service, academic study, and family life—as part of God’s classroom, shaping a servant committed to the Kingdom (Phil. 3:7–8). His mission is not merely to teach, but to equip and rally the Church to courageous, Spirit-empowered faith in a culture clouded by deception.
